Question: I placed a Curbside Bin pickup, how do I know when it will be ready? Answer: Once you have placed your order you will automatically receive an email with time frame when your order will be in bin.
Question: Is your website up to date with products and inventory? Answer: yes, our website is updated frequently with our product inventory
Question: What payment options do you accept at The Farm Store? Answer: Cash is preferred, however, we also accept Interac (Debt tap up to a maximum of $100).
Question: Do you offer free shipping? Answer: As Ontario Beekeepers (offering pure local products), we unfortunately can't offer this service at this time in order to allow us to keep margin costs down for our customers.
Question: How do you protect items for shipping? Answer: All items are shipped in a cardboard box and wrapped in biodegradable bubble wrapping for extra protection.
Question: Is the packaging used to ship orders recyclable? Answer: Yes, the cardboard and plastic wrap can both be recycled.
Question: I did not get tracking information for my order, I want to confirm my order was shipped? Answer: All Orders will get tracking information emailed automatically. If you didn't receive the email, please check your junk mail folder.
Question: Is The Farm Store open during bad weather? Answer: During winter months, please check our website to confirm we are open, prior to coming. We will edit the website if we have to close due to weather.
Question: What are your up to date hours during Covid-19? Answer: The Farm Store is currently open 12-4 p.m. Saturdays. Alternately, you can order online for Curbside pickup or order to ship to your front door.
Question: Do you offer swarm control services? Answer: We use to, however we no longer offer that service. If you do need this service you can visit the Ontario website and search swarm removal services and find someone from the list who covers your area.
Question: Do you sell hives? Answer: No we do not offer hives for sale.
Question: We have a special event coming up, however we would like to use our own jars for gifts, is this possible? Answer: Yes, if you have (new food grade jars) and would like to have them filled, we can certainly do so. You would just pay for quantity of Honey and not the packaging.
Question: Can we return our empty used jars to be re-filled and or refund? Answer: Unfortunately no, we can only use brand new food grade packaging in order to comply with regulations.
Question: What time frame is needed to pack special event orders? Answer: If the jars are in stock, we will process the order as soon as possible.
Question: Would you be able to print us custom labels? Answer: We do not offer this service at this time. All of our labels come from a label company. We recommend having your labels printed at Staples or if you are able to print them yourself.
Question: Do you offer farm tours? Answer: No we do not. The liability insurance and the staffing that would required does not allow us to offer tours at this time.
Question: Does your honey crystallize? Answer: Yes, all pure natural honey will crystallize. Time frame of when it will is hard to answer and also depends on how honey is stored, type of flowers collected from etc.
Question: I bought a jar of Honey in 2019 and again in 2021, why does it have a slightly different colour and taste? Answer: We have hives in different locations, which means different types of flowers the Bees collect from and therefore it can effect the colour and taste slightly.
